Don H. Teston

Don Harvey Teston, 86, passed away May 20, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah.  He was a lifelong Savannahian, where he attended Savannah High School.  He worked at Dyches Construction and Realty for 41 years and attended The Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist.  Don was a longtime member of the St Patrick’s Day Parade Committee.  He loved Tybee Island, Beach Bum, and worked for Burke’s Beach Rentals for years on the weekends. He loved Big Jimmy and Jay Burke.  Don was a downtown Savannah fixture where you could run into him listening to the piano at the Perry Lane hotel or having dinner at the Crystal Beer Parlor. He was a lifelong Savannah Braves and Atlanta Braves fan. 

Survivors include his children, Connie Kilgore (Gerry), and Matthew Teston (Liz), Grandchildren, Pearson Kilgore (Caitlyn), Ramona Williams (Mica), Elliott Teston, great-grandchildren, Tripp and Meredith. Also surviving are his brother, Furman Mack Teston (Diana), 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Virginia Harvey Teston Wicker (Mother), and Furman Teston (Father).

A private family graveside service will be held in Bonaventure Cemetery.
